Gilles-Maurice de Schryver: The end of lexicography - welcome to the machine II
Based on the seminal talk "The end of lexicography - welcome to the machine", professor de Schryver will present follow-up research on generative AI and lexicography. More specifically, in addition to illustrating how generative AI may already be used during all major steps of modern dictionary-making, particular attention will go to the ethical implications of using and trusting generative AI. For monolingual English lexicography, that trust is sky-high, but it declines rapidly for bilingual lexicography, and is non-existent for languages of limited diffusion.
